About

By 2004, Eric had received his undergraduate degree, traveled to 12 countries, been tapped to teach ceramics and had been practicing all facets of technical ceramics for 8 years.  2005 was an important year, as he made a conscious decision to refocus his studio practice from being a formal potter to being a maker with a stronger understanding of concept. Eric never stopped being a potter and embraced the challenges of communicating meaningful stories without wavering too far from craft material.  Eric received his masters of fine arts degree in 2009.  After receiving his terminal degree and teaching summer workshops for over a decade in the United States, Eric left the comforts of home and embraced a leadership role refining the world’s largest international, independently run company geared towards ceramic education, art, design and culture in China.  Eric chose to return to the United States in 2016 and now living in Signal Hill, CA.

Consultation/Education Services - There are many choices when it comes to classes in ceramics in the Los Angeles and Orange County area, but most of the them take place in brick and mortar studios. My services include a personal visit to the location of your studio practice/employment in order to recommend, repair and educate. This could be recommendations on studio design, mixing and managing materials, firing electric/gas/wood kilns, and if you want to hone your skills as a maker or educator. Please click on “Contact” above and send a detailed description and I will reach out to you to create a quotation.
